 Fifth Fur Ball Event,
sexy, fun, successful
Fur Ball 2011
We are pleased to announce Fur Ball 2011 was a success. We had a beautiful event at the Tacoma Art Museum, and were fortunate enough to raise net proceeds of approximately $25,000 and growing (with matching funds and additional sales of auction items). Our ability to raise money was due, in a large part,to the extreme generosity of our in-kind sponsors whose contributions allowed us to reduce our expenses related to this event by over $20,000.
The Net Proceeds will be disbursed as follows:
$ 17,100 Grant Recipients – Benefactor Program Fur Ball 2011
$ 7,000 Fund An Item – Off Leash Dog Park
$ 900 Dugan Foundation Operations (5% of net proceeds outside of fund an item)
We have conducted interviews with the ten applicants of the Benefactor Program; the receipients will soon be posted on our website. The applicants included: Cascade Bulldog Rescue & Re-home, CHEW (Canine Health Education & Welfare), Kindred Souls Foundation, Noah’s Pet Project, Pierce County Animal Welfare (PCAW), Prison Pet Partnership, Second Chance Dogs, South County Cats, Sunny Sky Animal Rescue, Yakima Valley Pet Rescue.
  
PHOTOS AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PURCHASE: We had multiple forms of photography that can be seen and ordered online that will give an idea of the luxury and fun of the night. Angela Lyons Photography (click on clients and find fur ball) took photos that captured the mood of the evening, as well as some individual shots. 1000 Words Events had a photo booth at the event where everyone had a great time hamming it up with fedoras, hats and various playful props.
