K9 Innings Tacoma Rainiers

New Friends and New Beginnings

K9 Innings Tacoma Rainiers

A big win for the home team,

and the lucky dogs of Collar of Hope

Mocha finds a new pal and a new identity

It was a fantastic day at Tacoma Rainiers K9 Innings on Sunday, June 22nd. Together with our wonderful partners Pawsitive Alliance and Collar of Hope, we had a goal of spreading the news about adoption and adoption events.  It was spectacular weather to welcome the hundreds of dog lovers and their pals.  Plus, Tacoma Rainiers won a tight game in the 9th inning!

But the results just keep on getting better: Bug (formerly known as Mocha, little dog pictured with bulldog) has a new home; a Tacoma Rainiers family now fosters dogs for Collar of Hope; and Squirt, Bella, Cricket and Charlie, new arrivals to Collar of Hope, are now altered and able to attend huge adoption events to find a new home!

The Tacoma Rainiers generously donated the $250 in funds from dog tickets sales at the event to Dugan Foundation. We decided these funds should help Squirt, Bella, Cricket and Charlie. Collar of Hope brought beautiful dogs to the K9 Innings event.  But they also had these four dogs that couldn't attend due to their need for spay neuter surgery prior to being adopted.

Thanks to the donation of Tacoma Rainiers and some additional funds from Dugan Foundation donors, these dogs received their surgeries in time (within 3 days) and were out to meet potential new families that weekend at Bow Wow Meow Luau with Pawsitive Alliance.

Thank you Tacoma Rainiers and donors to Dugan Foundation!

New Foster Parents

Dog lovers LeeAnn and her Tacoma Rainiers hubbie, are now foster parents for Collar of Hope for the coming summer. They are currently hosting Charlie, one of the new arrivals at COH.  Thanks to their love and willingness to be a temporary home for dogs in need, Collar of Hope will be able save more lives this summer.

Charlie couldn't be happier!

Bug's Great Story

Bug has the luckiest story of the day.  Hannah and Clayton (sitting in our section) attended the game with Brody, their much loved, sweet bulldog. They didn't intend on falling in love and adopting, but little Bug was impossible to resist (formerly known as Mocha).

To bring you the biggest smile of the day, I'll leave you with pictures of Bug and her best friend Brody the bulldog, now inseperable pals.

What a great end.

Thank you for your support,

You make our work possible.
