Dugan Foundation has begun work on a collaborative project called "Why Not Me?" to feature on greater social media, pets that have been in the shelter and rescue system for about 6 months. We're partnering with our friends at Pawsitive Alliance, as well as Northwest photographers Lara Grauer and Tracey Salazar. We are currently in pilot mode, working with the people and animals at Skagit Valley Humane Society. More to come soon! Stay tuned.
Dugan Foundation is built on a model of collaboration within the community. Research shows that the most successful no-kill communities involve animal welfare groups working closely with the city, county, animal care and control, schools, other animal welfare groups and area businesses. We incorporate all of those entities in our projects and programs. This involvement builds an invested community, that investment builds sustainability.
Our Collaborators List shows the groups, entities and businesses that we have worked with in various projects and programs. In addition, there is a separate page that shows all those we have funded or contributed to with in-kind services and goods. We believe it will take a fully integrated community to stop the killing of unwanted animals.
