Off-Leash Dog Park

UPDATE: 3/23/31  We are currently $5,000 shy of our $18,000 goal to start up the dog park.  Through the generosity of our long time supporter, Beverley Long she has put forth the following challenge; donate $100 and she will match your $100 donation up to a total of $1,000.  For more information on this program please contact us through our "get in touch" link or call the Foundation at 253.572.7700One of our more visible projects, the off-leash dog park in Tacoma, is actually a part of our current primary goal, building our High Volume Spay Neuter Clinic serving Western Washington.  The City of Tacoma, through City Council, awarded Dugan Foundation a long term land lease (October 20, 2010) at minimal cost.  The primary purpose for this land is to build a High Volume Spay Neuter Clinic, however, as a give back to the community, Dugan Foundation will be building and maintaining an off-leash dog park.  The park is currently slated to be built on a 15 acre parcel of capped landfill at the landfill off of Center Street.

The dog park has not yet been designed but plans are to have separate areas for senior and smaller dogs, as well as all play areas.  Dugan Foundation is seeking long term endowment funds to cover the dog park maintenance as well as the ongoing operation of the High Volume Spay Neuter Clinic, to allow both to operate in perpetuity, without fear of running out of operational funds.

If you have any desire to be part of this endowment fund (which may be built up of many investors) please call the foundation and we would be happy to set you up with our financial planner.

We will provide more information on the progress of the dog park upon request.  General updates will be provided on the website.
