Vision and Mission

Vision

A No-Kill Nation.

Our Definition of No-Kill

The Board of Directors of Dugan Foundation believes a no-kill community will be achieved when companion animals are no longer killed out of convenience and the term euthanasia is used in its true sense. Euthanasia is an act of mercy when an animal is terminally ill or has exhibited unnatural aggressive behavior, unresponsive by all accessible means of rehabilitation

Mission

To establish Washington State as a No-Kill Community by supporting and funding existing and developing organizations who embody the vision of Dugan Foundation. We will provide business and community leadership and education for current and future generations.

Quote of our Founder

“That we should be measured by our accomplishments as stewards of this world and as stewards be accountable for our given dominion over all things, then we can be measured by our love and compassion for one another, for our children and our environment and for all our animal partners from whom we have so much to learn and to whom we dedicate ourselves in service.” James R. Dugan
